SPP assisted in identifying the most attractive product development opportunity for a new customer segment from a wide range of options. This case study provides insight in how SPP developed product options and subsequently identified the 'ideal' product.

Our client was looking to introduce new products and services to specific customer segments. Although the immediate segment opportunity (small business) was clear, the products to offer in that segment and their fit to existing assets such as brand, channels, cost structure and customers were not.
SPP carried out a detailed review of the target segment and developed a customised assessment framework to identify product(s) that fitted both customer needs and business capabilities.
The project resulted in a clear growth path for the business in Australia.
